What's the best way of fixing nail and screw holes in a dry wall? ?

I read a bit and all that I've found is patching with a compound but it all seems to be prep work before painting. I am moving and just want to fix the holes (in a white wall)..nothing major so I am not looking to paint. Is there anything I can do to make the color blend in...? (sorry for the silly question) What's the best way of fixing nail and screw holes in a dry wall? ?
is your tooth paste white ? fill them with tooth paste works wonders What's the best way of fixing nail and screw holes in a dry wall? ?
If you can be bothered fixing the holes, then i guess you could make a little more effort lol. first you need to lightly sand the holes making them flush with the wall, if the holes are small i mean really small then you can buy a special filler paint, just buy a small sample jar and brush it on. If they are a little bigger then a nail hole any cheap white or beige filler will do, they generally all dry pretty close to white you don't want it to be too white or it will stand out depending on how white your wall is.
get the whitest compound that you can buy, patch the little holes, sand with fine grit sand paper until flush with wall, touch up with paint if u must, but if you are moving i wouldn't worry about it, chances are the next people will paint the walls anyhow.
Your avatar looks like that Gretchen chick from Prison Break.

But if you have white walls I would go with some white spackle.

Hope this helps :)
you need joint compound,
spackle
