What is the best way to get out dried on nail varnish from clothes?

Assuming the material isn't very delicate, I would use a very sharp knife and gently go over the area until it's mostly gone. Then I'd get some tweezers and take the rest off. You can also try using straight Acetone, but test an inconspicuous spot on the clothing if you go that route. Also, immediately wash the clothing afterward. What is the best way to get out dried on nail varnish from clothes?
acetone.

What is your beauty routine? Be specific. How long for makeup How often other things like nails, blow dry hair

I am wondering how much time the typical girl spends getting ready. Maybe 10 min too little I'm thinking. What is your beauty routine? Be specific. How long for makeup How often other things like nails, blow dry hair
This is mine in a nutshell:

Mon.-Fri. Gym early in the a.m, shower (this is where I use the facial cleanser) Typically because I've worked out my face has a natural glow so all I apply is my daily moisturizer and my eye cream. Maybe a little concealer. Mascara and a natural brown liner are a must along with making sure the eyebrows look good. (This is the 1st thing people notice about your face, so I make them look alive and refreshed) and I top it off by applying a natural-colored lip gloss. Hair washed and blow dried (takes me about 15-20 minutes) lotion the body with Jergen's Natural Glow, I get dressed and face the world!!!

Weekends I'm either very low or high maintenance depending on events scheduled. One thing is for sure, i can't leave the house without having suncreen on my body/face and a great lipgloss! What is your beauty routine? Be specific. How long for makeup How often other things like nails, blow dry hair
i'm sort of tomboy-ish, so i'm pretty low maitenance. i can take a shower, brush my teeth, fix my hair, do my makeup, and get dressed in under 30 minutes.
i spend all my time in the morning trying to get out of bed and then i go to the bathroom and pee, brush my teeth, wash my face (sometimes), and put in my contacts. I put on my deoderant and spend like 10-15 minutes trying to pick something to wear then I'm off! Half an hour total.
Morning

Shower - 8-10 minutes

Facial Cleanser/Acne Lotion/Tinted Moisturizer - 5 minutes

Makeup - 4 minutes

Hair - Blowdry - 10 minutes

Hair - Styling - 4 mintues

For a total of 31-33 minutes

Evening

Facial Cleanser - 2 minutes

Acne Clearing System - 4 minutes

Honey Facial Mask - every other day - 15 minutes

For a total of 6-21 minutes.

I don't do my nails. I did not factor dressing into my time. This is only when I have a lot of time. When I don't I can be much faster.
I'm a kinda, drama queen, girly girl. So it takes me like 1-3 hours. Sometimes 4 if I'm going out to somewhere important. It usually takes 1-2 hours for my hair if I'm straightening it and 45 min-1 hours if I'm curling it. I never leave it natural, my hair is horrible at its natural state. My makeup can take anywhere from 7-15 min and picking out what to wear and geting dressed can take 5-30 min! But yeah, thats just me... No one else I know takes that long. Oh and if I do my nails it usually takes about 10 min. Just a quick little coat of light pink!
Comb out tangles when wet and blowdry with round boar brush to add volume to crown. Tame frizzies with lil' almond oil. I have no idea how long that takes... That prolly twice weekly...

I wash my face and then apply moisturizer with SPF 15. Then spray on sunscreen to face and neck. Sleek back my brows and moisturize lips with vaseline, and then apply concealer with brush, and then tap it in. Bronzer when I actually care, and satsuma perfume oil on wrists from the body shop.

Nails are maybe once a month if I remember... Body scrub every week, and deep conditioning every week for hair.

Does spraying cooking oil on your nails make them dry faster?

I've heard rumors that spraying cooking oil on your nails after you paint them makes them dry faster.

Is this true?

How do you do it? I've googled this many times and haven't found any directions on how to do it.

I always make a mess when I paint my nails, if this really works it would be awesome...help!Does spraying cooking oil on your nails make them dry faster?
I think this idea should be filed with the urban myths page. Your nail polish dries because the solvent in the polish evaporates, if you sprayed cooking oil on the fresh polish this would slow the evaporation of the solvent and thus take longer for the polish to dry.
  • hair brush
  • Doe anyone know a quick way to dry your nails faster?

I like to paint my nails but they take so long to dry. Is there something I could do to make them dry fast? Someone told me to stick my hands in the freezer but that doesn't really do muchDoe anyone know a quick way to dry your nails faster?
U cant speed up the drying process....once i heard of this quick dry nail polish from AVON cosmetics, but i am not sure it is still there.what i do is i apply it just before i go to bed.......i sleep off while waiting for it to dry.....no patience required there..........Doe anyone know a quick way to dry your nails faster?
Sleeping while waiting for your nails to dry? That sounds idiotic to me...

With a base coat, minimum of 2 color coats, and a top coat, painting our nails can be very time consuming, especially when waiting for them to dry. I understand your frustration. I think one of the main reasons it takes so long to dry for many of us is because we don't allow each coat to set before applying a new coat. If you wait a minute or so between coats, it will cut your complete drying time in half. The last thing you want is a beautifully done manicure that you thought was dry get a gouge in it later from the base not drying completely. Also, try a speed dry top coat and use it as your base coat also. Hope this helps.
Yes! I have been doing nails for 6 years. The trick is first, you want to make sure that you have a fast dry topcoat. My favorite ever is Seche Vite, you can find it at almost any salon. Then you want to make sure you apply 2 layers of your color. The best trick I have come across is to wait 3-5 minutes before applying your topcoat. Total dry time is about 15 min. You never want to use heat to dry your polish, it could make it bubble.

Another tip is to make sure you always use a good base coat. I like Creative Nail Designs Sticky base. A base coat will make your polish stays on longer, your application smoother, and your nails won't get stained (yellow) from the color.
blow them, put them in front of a fan, wave them in the air, or put them in front of a _safe_ space heater. Dont ever try to dry them off with a towel or tissue paper or something. if you have some nail polish on you fingers, wait till it dries, then take a q-tip and dip it in some nail polish remover, then remove the nail polish with a q-tip. ;)
You can buy the quick dry nail polishes, they work really well.

You can put your fingers in front of a fan (on cold air)

You can use the blow dryer

You can put nail polish at a time when you are doing something which does not imply ruining your drying nail polish, like read a book, or mag, and your nails will dry before you know it!

    Nothing else for now ... but please do not stick your hands in the freezer it does not sound right %26gt;.%26lt;

    Hope I helped

    Bye :)
this may sound kinda weird but I have my own method and they dry super fast this way, I apply the first coat, then blow them for about 2minutes then I apply the second coat then blow them for another 2minutes, then I put each finger in my mouth to wet my nails then I stick them out of the window to air dry and it works wonders LOL
when your nails are wet, fill up a bathroom sink about 1 tenth full (you can put more if you want)

Then, put your hands in the water so they lie flat on the basin. Don't swish your hands.

This won't completely dry your nails, but it will help.
Some of the quick-dry aerosol sprays are good, but some make streaks.

    ---OR---

After letting them dry a few minutes, dip your nails in a bowl of ice-cold water. Don't rub your hands/nails dry after doing this (pat dry) or else they still may smudge/dent.
You can buy this little spray stuff at,like,Wal-mart or Target in the beauty isle or at a beauty store. You just spritz it on your nails and it drys them ! (= Its like $1.OO-$3.OO . Hope I helped !
There is this spray called nail freeze or something like that. I cant remember exactly what it is called but after you paint your nails you spray it on them and they instantly dry. It works great!
    fast drying nail polish.

i like O.P.I's quick drying express top coat.

and try to paint very thin layers of nail polish on your nail
I heard if you stick your hands in water w/ ice cubes it makes it dry faster.
I use the hair dryer, in cool level. Good luck!
    blow dry them

    small fans work

waving them fast in the air while chanting Dry you weasles , dry!
stick your hands in ice cold water.
I guess you could use a hair dryer :)
    yes
blow them that works for me
    blow dryer on cool
put it next to a fan ....and leave them there for a while .......

How long do sharpies take to dry on nails?

okay so i saw a video on youtube showing how to do checkered nails. I did mine, but once i tried to go over it with a clear coat so it wouldn't wear off, it still smudges. I waited like 15 minutes for it to dry. Can someone please help me? How long do sharpies take to dry on nails?
That's a really stupid thing to do...why would you want to?

What a group of ignorant people.

    F.Y.I, you can't even tell it's Sharpie.

If you used nail polish, it would run all over the place.

Maybe you should see the video before stating your opinions on how it looks.

And no it does not stain as long as you use the base coat.

And to answer your question, wait 30 minutes to an hour.

    --Annie
it's marker. it needs time to absorb into your nails.

i would not recommend using sharpie on your nails, i colored my nails with black sharpie once and after washing my hands just once, it turned an ugly purple.
Why the fck would you wanna use a sharpie on your nails?

Werido..use nail polish like a normal person.
it takes about an hour to dry

jusr sit still and watch t.v

Of course it's red nail polish on a beige carpet!Anyway to removed dried nail polish from carpeting without ruining the carpet? (unable to trim offensive area
There is a product called goo-gone that may work. If it doesn't you can try non-acetone nail polish remover.....don't use polish remover w/ acetone it will discolor the carpet. If all else fails call a cleaning service they will be able to tell you. Good luckAnyway to removed dried nail polish from carpeting without ruining the carpet? (unable to trim offensive area

Nail polish remover. Faling that, cover it with a rug or something else.

There's probably a miracle product that can get rid of it, but I don't know what it is, or even if there is definitely one.
