Good luck! How do you get RED dried nail polish out of carpet?
I don't think you can unless you call a professional carpet cleaning service because the only thing that removes nail polish is acetone which will also remove the carpet's dye. You could see what's cheaper: a new carpet or a professional carpet cleaning.

EDIT: If you do get a carpet cleaner you might want to make sure they can even remove nail polish.....
Well the pigment will be a problem but you can try using Dried Paint Remover which is available in art sypply stores (Michaels). Check it on an inconspicuous spot first. Mask the surrounding area so as not to spread. If that does not work, it is easy to patch carpet IF it is a pile. Cut a patch from the back of a closet, etc. or find a match at a carpet store. Construction adhesive the piece in, Carefully. Practice elsewhere first. This will be fine if it is not in a high traffic area. Have a pro do this if you are not certain that you can do this.
use nail polish remover and have the kids remove their shoes when coming into the house ,get them slippers to save yourself work and money and the complains from the Landlord as well..
