The best solvent for nail polish is acetone. Acetone can also dissolve some types of carpet fibers, so you'll need to test the nail polish remover on an out of the way corner of the carpet to see if it melts the carpet fibers.

You'll need to really soak the carpet fibers where the polish is dried in order to remove it. You're lucky it's pale pink. If it was a dark color the dye might never come out.

However, you could also try the non-acetone nail polish removers first. They will take longer to dissolve the nail polish, but won't harm the carpet's fibers.
