How long does it normally take for nail polish to dry?

With 1 coat it won't take so long, probably 3 to 8 minutes. But if you do 2 coats and then quickdry over it it could take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. You can always just be careful and lightly brush the tip of your finger over the polish about 10-15 minutes after you've painted them and see if it disrupts the polish at all [which it shouldn't, unless the polish is really thick and you put on like 4 coats or something weird].


It'll usually be set pretty quick, but it's always good to give it an extra few minutes and be careful with what you do for a good hour after you paint them just to there aren't lint hairs or finger prints jammed into it.

After your last coat, try not to knock them for an hour (a brilliant excuse for doing nothing). Try sticking your nails in a bowl of iced water. i like maybelline's express dry polish... i can put on 2 coats and it's dry in less than 10 minutes. same with cover girl nail polish. i've noticed that revlon and sally hansen take longer to dry, especially with 2 coats.... so frustrating!!

Putting it in front of a fan would speed up the process .

i guess about 5 to 10 min. it depends on what type of nail polish it is and how cheap it is and the amount u coated on your nail. does this help?
depends on the nail polish. mine are usually pretty dry in a couple mins but as soon as the hit something they get messed up. they're completely dry in less than 10 mins. i use ice brand btw.

with two coats, usually nails are fully dry in about 45 minutes.
for me 5 mins all u have to do is wait a couple of mins after u coat them then run them under cold water it will harden them!
One hand should be done by the time u finish the other. THen u put the second coat.
